CONTINUING THE ACTION OF ACCESS TO OFF-GRID ELECTRIFICATION IN NGÄBE AND BUGLÉ COMMUNITIES
After the good reception of the pilot project, and having the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (so called AECID) as a partner on site, we started the escalation of the Luz en Casa Ngäbe-Buglé Programme to continue bringing access to basic electricity service to the indigenous communities in west Panama.
Luz en Casa Ngäbe-Buglé 2019 is going to provide 850 new families with access to reliable, sustainable and affordable energy in their homes, as well as they are going to have a Centro Luz en Casa -in a reference locality for their communities-, where they can obtain the unblock codes for the systems and repair service, bought of compatible electric devices or advice about any related issue.
The project started in the first six months of 2019 and, by the end of the year, it will have finished a first phase of installation in 500 homes.
